Endometriosis is a chronic and often painful medical condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus, leading to inflammation, scarring, and adhesions.


Common locations of endometrial growth:


1. Pelvis

2. Ovaries

3. Fallopian tubes

4. Bowel

5. Bladder


Symptoms:


1. Pelvic pain (cramping, sharp pains)

2. Heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding

3. Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)

4. Painful intercourse (dyspareunia)

5. Infertility

6. Bloating and swelling

7. Fatigue

8. Bowel or urinary symptoms (constipation, diarrhea, painful urination)
